Legionella doesn't announce itself. We make sure it never gets the chance.

For any building with a water system, Legionella is the risk you can't afford to ignore. Peak Water Technologies provides comprehensive Legionella risk management programs that keep your building protected, your occupants safe, and your documentation defensible.

the risk.

Legionella is a naturally occurring bacteria found in water. Given the right conditions, including warm water, stagnant flow, and the absence of proper treatment, it multiplies rapidly and becomes a serious public health threat. When water containing Legionella becomes airborne, through cooling tower drift, showerheads, or decorative water features, it can cause Legionnaires' disease, a severe and potentially fatal form of pneumonia.

The good news is that Legionella is entirely preventable with the right program in place.

are you at risk?

Any building with a water system that creates the conditions for Legionella growth should have a formal risk management program in place. This includes:

  • Buildings with cooling towers

  • Buildings with domestic hot water systems serving multiple occupants

  • Hotels, healthcare facilities, and long-term care homes

  • Multi-family residential buildings and condominiums

  • Any facility where water is stored, heated, or recirculated

the promise behind the program.

Peak Water Technologies designs and manages Legionella risk management programs built around your specific building, systems, and compliance requirements. We get to know your building and stay involved.

Risk Assessment

A thorough assessment of your water systems to identify conditions that could support Legionella growth, including system design, water temperatures, flow patterns, and existing treatment programs.

Ongoing Monitoring & Testing

Regular water sampling and temperature monitoring across your systems. Samples are submitted to accredited laboratories and results reviewed against established control limits. When results fall outside acceptable ranges, we respond.

Documentation & Reporting

Every visit, every test result, and every corrective action documented. You always have a clear, current record of your program's performance, ready for any inspection, audit, or insurance review.

Water Management Plan

A written Water Management Plan that documents your systems, identifies control points, sets monitoring parameters, and outlines corrective actions. This plan is your primary compliance document.

Chemical Treatment

Legionella control integrated directly into your broader water treatment program, ensuring biocide levels, temperature control, and system flushing protocols work together to prevent bacterial growth.

Training & Support

We work with your building operators and maintenance teams to ensure they understand their role in the program and can identify and escalate concerns between our visits.
